Monday night is Community Celebrity Monday! Natalie Roberts and Angelia Castellanos will be our celebrity guest bartenders (and Jeremy Roberts will be “working the room”). All of their tips and a percentage of the night’s proceeds will be donated to the Castellanos Family in honor of Vince Castellanos. Vince was a Sherman police officer that tragically lost his battle with colon cancer on Christmas Day, and we’re hoping to raise money to help support Vince’s wife and their four children.
Jackie Vansant will be DJing, and Jeremy will be the MC. We’ll also be selling special pint glasses with Vince’s badge number. Each glass is $10 plus the cost of the drink (e.g., a 903 Blonde pint would be $13 — $10 for the glass and $3 for the beer). All glass proceeds will be donated to the Castellanos Family. The night’s theme is blue and black, which represents fallen officers, and we’ll have a blue signature cocktail that matches the theme. It’s going to be a great night so grab your friends and come help us support the family of a fallen community hero!!!
Here is a little more information about Vince’s incredible life…
Vince enlisted in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman in August of 1999, and he served his country honorably from 1999-2015. He went on to qualify as an Army Ranger and completed both Air Assault and Pathfinder Schools. Vince deployed overseas 5 times. He is a highly decorated combat veteran whose commendations include Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal with V, 6 additional Army Commendation medals, 8 Army Achievement medals, and numerous campaign and qualification medals. After leaving the military, Vince chose to continue his service as a Police Officer in the Sherman Police Department, where he excelled as a Patrol Officer and a member of the Sherman Police Department SWAT Team. Sadly, Vince was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer in October 2016, and he lost his battle on Christmas Day 2017. Vince and his wife, Angelia, were married in 2001, and they have four beautiful children: Julie (13), Vince, Jr. (10), Sophie (8), and Lilly (2). Vince is and always will be their Superman. Please come help us honor a true community hero on Monday night.
